Brief: 18 flats to be built on the
site of an old furniture store in the centre of Cheltenham. The store required
demolishing before works could proceed. Access to the site was tight requiring
the road to be closed for a period.
Delivery: The construction used was timber framed with block work exterior skin,
finished with through colour render. The project was completed on time, with the added
advantage of producing a show flat in advance of the main project completion date. Yorke
used in house site management and provided the bulk of the skilled labour on site. With the
back up of the office based Quantity surveying and Buying department, we were able to programme
and deliver to meet the completion dates.
