Down Court, Slad, Gloucestershire
Value £300,000

Brief: The project required a Cotswold stone two-storey extension and extensive alterations to the original country house, in Slad, Gloucestershire, to create an impressive and sympathetically renovated Cotswold property in keeping with the existing construction methods.

Delivery: The 6m x 7m extension was constructed using a cladded steel frame to the ground floor, finished with a glazed and bespoke traditional oak frame. Locally quarried traditional Cotswold stone was used to the first floor. The extension features an impressive garden room to the ground floor and a new family bathroom and wet room to the first floor.

The development boasts a new pitched roof finished with reclaimed plain tiles; a traditional oak flooring and beams to the ceiling; traditional stone mullion windows and under floor heating to the second floor.

Yorke Construction took pride in its effective site management throughout the project while construction occurred around the homeowners remaining in residence.
