Unit Gloucestershire
Brief: The project consisted of demolition of existing outbuildings,
strip out of existing A & E department and the construction of a
new Accident & Emergency Department with the new facility combining
the refurbishment of the existing A & E section and the
construction and integration of a purpose built new unit. The new
department encompassed a Treatment room, three Consulting rooms,
Doctors room, Casualty waiting area, Eye treatment room, Plaster room,
Nurses station, Play area, Reception, medical stores, Dirty and clean
utilities.
Delivery: During the Six
month construction period the client would
regularly insist on minimum noise working during operating times and
our staff were ever mindful of the necessity for the Hospital to remain
in full operation. With collective effort from the whole Project
management team the New Department was delivered on time and within
budget with minimal disruption to the Hospital.
